Grants will automatically disburse to your Bursar’s account. No action is necessary to accept this award(s).

 If you drop units on or before the first day of class, or if you did not attend a class, you may be required to repay all or part of your Federal Pell Grant or University Grant and will lose the ACG and the SMART Grant for the semester.

Examples of grants offered at UA include:

• Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
  These awards have a merit component to them. The awards range from $750 for first year student and $1300 for second year students.
• Federal Pell Grant
     These awards range from $4310 to zero based on eligibility and unit enrollment.
• Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
  The award amount varies and is based on eligibility and unit enrollment.
• Financial Aid Trust Grant
  The award amount varies and is based on eligibility and unit enrollment.
• Financial Aid Trust Fund Grant
  The award amount varies and is based on eligibility and unit enrollment.
• Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (LEAP)
  The award amount varies and is based on eligibility and unit enrollment.
• National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART)
  These awards have a merit component to them. The awards are $4000 for third and fourth year students.
• University (Set Aside) Grant
  The award amount varies and is based on eligibility and unit enrollment.
• University School as Lender Grant
  The award amount varies and is based on eligibility and unit enrollment.
