Renewal Criteria for Continuing Arizona Assurance Scholars
 

  • Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1st every year 
    • FAFSA rejects and/or errors must be resolved no later than May 1st
  • Must remain an Arizona resident
  • Complete a minimum of 12 units at UA per semester
  • Complete 24 units each academic year
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Must be Federal Pell Grant eligible
  • Complete Arizona Assurance Success Plan Program

2016-2017 FAFSA Application available

March 1, 2017 2016-2017 FAFSA must be submitted
May 1, 2017

Date by which FAFSA rejects and/or errors must be resolved

Date by which all requested documentation be submitted to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA)

July 1, 2017 Priority Deadline for all Arizona Assurance funding appeals
August 15, 2017 Final Deadline for all Arizona Assurance funding appeals
September 1, 2017 Priority Deadline for all Arizona Assurance housing appeals
September 15, 2017

* All FAFSA deadlines listed on this page are for Arizona Assurance Scholars Program consideration or renewed funding, not for federal aid awarding purposes. The 2017-2018 FAFSA can be completed at any point between October 1, 2016 and June 30, 2018; however, March 1, 2017 is the institutional grant funding priority deadline.
