Renewal Criteria for Continued Arizona Assurance Funding

Fall 2018/Spring 2019 Renewal Criteria for Continued Arizona Assurance Funding 

  • Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1st every year 
  • Be Federal Pell Grant eligible as calculated by the FAFSA
  • Remain a resident of the state of Arizona for tuition purposes 
  • Complete a minimum of 12 UA units per semester
  • Complete a minimum of 24 UA units each academic year
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Remain enrolled in Main Campus (UA Online, UA South and Distance campus students are not eligible for Arizona Assurance Funding)
  • Complete the Arizona Assurance Success Plan Program

October 1, 2017

2018-2019 FAFSA Application available

March 1, 2018 2018-2019 FAFSA must be submitted
May 1, 2018

Date by which FAFSA rejects and/or errors must be resolved

Date by which all requested documentation be submitted to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA)

July 1, 2018 Priority Deadline for all Arizona Assurance funding appeals
First day of the Fall 2018 semester Final Deadline for all Arizona Assurance funding appeals

* All FAFSA deadlines listed on this page are for Arizona Assurance Program renewed funding, not for federal aid awarding purposes. The 2018-2019 FAFSA can be completed at any point between October 1, 2017 and June 30, 2019; however, March 1, 2018 is the institutional grant funding priority deadline.
