FAQ - I added the wrong parent to my FAFSA, how can I change this?

The required parent contributor on a dependent student’s FAFSA will be the parent who provided the most financial support for the student in the last 12 months, no matter which parent the student lived with. This is not something that can be updated later, however, if the incorrect parent was added to the FAFSA to begin with, students will need to work with OSFA who will determine if this correction should be made. Documentation may need to be submitted to substantiate this correction. If you need to correct this information, you’ll need to reach out to our office.
