Temporary Loans are advances to a student’s offered, but not released, financial aid. They are available on a case-by-case basis and require that a student’s pending financial aid has not yet released. Reasons for aid not releasing may include pending enrollment changes (i.e., waiting to be added to a class that will bring you to Full-Time enrollment), outside scholarship funding still not received by the University of Arizona, etc. Students may be eligible for a temporary loan if their pending financial aid exceeds their UA charges. Please contact our office for more information.
The Last Mile Program provides one-time emergency funding to students completing their final semester at the University of Arizona. The goal is to help students graduate without a past due Bursar Account balance. Funding amounts are awarded on a case-by-case basis up to the discretion of the review committee. Students should submit a Last Mile Grant Application in order to be considered for this program.
The Balance Forgiveness Program provides one-time emergency funding to students who are not able to clear their Bursar Account Balance. The goal is to help students pay off their balance so they can persist on to the next semester and progress toward graduation. Funding amounts are awarded on a case-by-case basis up to the discretion of the review committee. Students should submit a Balance Forgiveness Application in order to be considered for this program.
For consideration for other emergency one-time funding opportunities not mentioned above, students are able to submit a General Aid Appeal for further review of their aid package.
